A North Little Rock man is accused of battering his pregnant girlfriend and her daughter after an argument over the girlfriend using the bathroom too much, police said.

Jesus Rodriguez, 26, is facing two counts of third-degree domestic battery and one of third-degree endangering the welfare of a minor. He was arrested about 2:50 a.m. at a residence in the 2900 block of East Lincoln Avenue.

The girlfriend, described in the report as "visibly pregnant," told police investigators "the fight started over her keeping to use the bathroom so much because she was pregnant."

Rodriguez is accused of trying to punch his girlfriend but then hitting her daughter twice with a closed fist when she moved to intervene. The report didn't note the daughter's age.

Police say Rodriguez later pushed his girlfriend on top of her infant daughter, who was also in the residence. The infant wasn't harmed, but police said the girlfriend and the daughter who was struck with the closed fist had "visible injuries."

Rodriguez was booked into the Pulaski County jail, where bail hasn't been set.
