MOUNTAIN HOME — An accident involving a tractor near Mountain Home has claimed the life of a Salem man.
At about noon Friday, 62-year-old Michael Martin was picking up a tractor from a repair business when he became trapped by a piece of equipment.
The Baxter County Sheriff's Department says Martin was standing between the trailer and the truck and became trapped when the weight of the tractor moved the trailer forward. The trailer hadn't been fully secured to Martin's truck.
The sheriff's office says Martin was pronounced dead at a hospital about an hour and a half later.
