A North Little Rock woman has been charged in a hit-and-run at a Sherwood apartment complex that left a 3-year-old boy dead.
Kyisha Durham turned herself in Friday morning on charges of negligent homicide and failing to render aid by leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
Durham is accused of fleeing the accident scene without stopping after hitting 3-year-old Jaylen Diggs on March 11 at Park Crest Apartments on Manson Road. Jaylen was rushed to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, where he died from his injuries less than two days later.
It wasn't clear how Durham was identified as the suspected driver, but police said in a statement that the investigation revealed she was behind the wheel of a red Chevrolet Tahoe that hit Jaylen.
Durham was released after posting a $5,000 bond, police said.
