LOVELY AS A TREE

Arkansas trees champion at Hot Springs museum

Sometimes, the inability to see the forest for the trees is a good thing. Such is the case with “Arkansas Champion Trees: An Artist’s Journey,” an exhibit currently at the Museum of Contemporary Art at Hot Springs.

Friends of the artist, Linda Williams Palmer, gathered along with museum members for a July 14 reception at the historic Ozark Bathhouse on Central Avenue. Greeted by Palmer and museum executive director Brittany Jackson, guests were treated to wine, refreshments and a chance to view the arboreal drawings.

Palmer, whose work has been selected for numerous juried exhibitions and collections across the country and in Europe, currently maintains a studio and gallery in Hot Springs National Park.
