OKLAHOMA CITY — Developers say two new wind farms in Oklahoma will provide electricity to utilities in Arkansas and Nebraska.

Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. says it's reached an agreement to sell 150 megawatts of wind energy to Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corp., which is part of a cooperative that provides electricity for more than 500,000 customers.

RES Americas says it will build a wind farm with 75 turbines in Murray and Carter counties.

In a separate project, EDP Renewables North America LLC says it will provide wind power to Lincoln Electric System in Nebraska. The Oklahoman reported that EDP will build a 100-megawatt wind farm at Arbuckle Mountain.

The Oklahoma Department of Commerce says the state currently has more than 500 megawatts in announced projects under construction.
