Ashdown man dies in motorcycle crash

An Ashdown man was killed Saturday in a motorcycle accident on U.S. 71 South, according to Arkansas State Police.

Secody L. Baker, 59, was driving south on a 2005 Harley-Davidson around 7:12 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve and was thrown from the motorcycle, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said conditions were clear and dry in the area.

Baker was the 218th person to die in a traffic accident on Arkansas roads, according to preliminary figures.
