Elsewhere in entertainment and the arts: War novelists

The Arkansas Literary Festival offers “The New 22,” a panel discussion with Ben Fountain, author of Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, and David Abrams, author of Fobbit - both satirical takes on some of the hard contradictions soldiers face - at 6:30 p.m. today at the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, 503 E. Ninth St., Little Rock. A reception and book signing will follow the program. Both books will be for sale.
