2 Pennsylvanians killed in I-40 crash in Arkansas

HAZEN — Arkansas State Police say two Pennsylvania children were killed and three other people were injured in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 in eastern Arkansas.

A state police report says 8-year-old Karen Espinoza and 10-year-old Alex Espinoza died in the crash near Hazen just before 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Both were from Reading, Pa.

The report says the two were passengers in a vehicle that was westbound on I-40 when it went off the roadway and overturned several times.

Investigators say the driver and two other passengers were injured in the crash and are hospitalized in Little Rock. Their conditions were not released.
