— St. James United Methodist Church was the setting at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, for the marriage of Brittany Laine Goings and Matthew Carroll Marsh. Officiating were the Revs. Siegfried Johnson and Merle Allison Johnson, grandfather of the bride.

Parents of the bride are Marsha and J. Mark Goings of Cabot. She is the granddaughter of Linda and Merle Johnson and Mary and Donald Epperson, all of Little Rock, and the late Sue and D. Jerry Goings of Helena. She is the great-granddaughter of Carmen and Jack Fleck of Fort Smith.

The groom is the son of Janice and Randall Marsh of McCrory. His grandparents are Ella Mae and the late James Carroll Jr. of Brinkley and Dorothy and the late Andrew Marsh, also of McCrory.

The altar held a large arrangement of hybrid delphinium, blooming spring branches, French tulips and orchids. Music was by organist Robert Lindley, The Little Rock String Quartet and soloist Laura Inman Gjeilo of Atlanta. Acolyte was Maggie Hill of Lonoke.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin gown with a strapless, ruched bodice, a sweetheart neckline and a crystal belt at the waist. She carried blush pink peonies.

Serving as the bride’s honor attendants were Holly Hilburn of Dallas and Linsey Owens of Little Rock, cousins of the bride. Bridesmaids were Dr. Amber Bynum, Dr. Lindsay Coleman and Morgan Langford, all of Little Rock; Jennifer Counce and Lyndsey Allie Gammill, both of Dallas; Anna George, Molly Johnson and Emily Ward, all of Fayetteville; Whitney Malham of Cabot; Caroline Peeples of Nashville, Tenn.; Haley Smith of Tichnor; and Ashley Clark of Conway.

They wore black chiffon one-shoulder gowns with shirred waist bands and carried bouquets of garden roses, ruffled tulips, hydrangeas, freesia and ranunculus.

Christopher Marsh of Little Rock served as his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Micah Ayers and Daniel Baker, both of McCrory; Drew Carter, Jerry Morgan III and Clint Roth, all of Stuttgart; Justin Carroll of Brinkley, cousin of the groom; Preston Clark and Rowland Clark, both of Gregory; Tyler Pack, Bradley Smith and John Goings, brother of the bride, all of Little Rock; Daniel Smith of Tichnor; and Ethan Wilson of Searcy. Guests were seated by Stephen Alexander of Baton Rouge; Jeremy Bullington of McCrory; Dustin Cross of Magnolia; Zachary Harper of Pine Bluff; Logan Lawrence of Little Rock, cousin of the bride; and Caleb Whiteside of North Little Rock.

A reception at Pleasant Valley Country Club followed the ceremony. The buffet was centered with a towering arrangement of orchids, French tulips and blooming branches. Tall arrangements of orchids, tulips and hydrangeas decorated tables on the tented porch, which was lighted with Chinese lanterns. Music was by The Rockets.

The bride graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. She received a doctorate of pharmacy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy and is a pharmacist at Cornerstone Pharmacy. She is treasurer of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae, a member of the Junior League of Little Rock, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, UAMS Family Home fundraising committee, Philanthropic Educational Organization and the Arkansas Pharmacists Association.

The groom has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture business from the University of Arkansas. He was a member of Kappa Sigma and a student government leader and ambassador for the Dale Bumpers College. He was also selected for the first class of the Farm Bureau’s Presidential Leadership Committee. He is employed in farm management for Brantley Farming Co., is on the Riceland Leadership committee and has joined the Farm Bureau’s Young Farmers and Ranchers division.

After a trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Little Rock.
