LITTLE ROCK — Claire Elizabeth Noland and Joseph A. Beggans Jr. were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, on the Gulf Lawn at LaPlaya Beach Resort, Naples, Fla. Richard L. Ramsay of Little Rock officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Debbie and Stewart Noland, 5210 Sherwood Road. Her grandparents are Eunice and Paul Noland of Fayetteville, and William and the late Jean Ross Rosenaur of Hot Springs.

The groom is the son of Kathie and Joseph Beggans of Ocean, N.J. He is the grandson of Joseph and the late Kathleen O’Brien of Bayonne, N.J., and the late Kathleen and John Beggans of Jersey City, N.J.

Vows for the sunset ceremony were exchanged under a bamboo arbor decorated with white hydrangeas and pink roses. Music was by the Seaside Strings of Naples.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a modified trumpet gown of ivory re-embroidered Chantilly lace with cap sleeves and a low back. Her tulle veil was edged with lace. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses.

Maid of honor was Hillary Noland Sutherland of Independence, Kan., cousin of the bride. Bridesmaid was Julie Ann Beggans of New York, sister of the groom. They wore silk-chiffon knee-length dresses of dusty shale and carried bouquets of yellow Ambiance roses and deep pink roses.

Best man was Brian Matthew Beggans of New York, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Phillip Beggans of New York and John Beggans of Wellesley, Mass., brothers of the groom, and Ross Noland of Little Rock, brother of the bride.

A reception in the resort’s Bayview Ballroom followed the ceremony. Tables held arrangements of white hydrangeas and roses surrounded by tea light candles. Music was by the None Other band of Naples.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in apparel studies from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she was a member of Chi Omega, and a master’s degree in global fashion management from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. She is an event planner.

The groom has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania at Philadelphia, where he was quarterback for the football team and was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He is a bond trader.

The couple will make their home in New York after a wedding trip to Anguilla.
