Fans still debate who was queenlier: Kitty or Patsy?

Patsy Cline’s singing was on the rise at the same time Kitty Wells’ royal career was winding down. They crossed in the middle, 1961, the year each scored a hit single — Cline’s first chart-topper, “I Fall to Pieces,” and Wells’ last, “Heartbreak U.S.A.” Ever since, the question of which singer most rightfully holds the title Queen of Country has been an open contest.
