Herb Rule, a Little Rock lawyer and former congressional candidate, was found guilty on Wednesday in Fayetteville District Court on a charge of driving while intoxicated Aug. 9 in Fayetteville.

Rule said he will appeal the decision.

Two police officers testified in the two-hour trial, which also included a review of a video of Rule's arrest. Rule did not take the stand.

Rule ran unsuccessfully against Republican Tim Griffin in the 2012 race for Arkansas' 2nd Congressional district.
