An Alexander man has been charged in a shooting that left one man injured in Bryant last week.
Authorities were called to Hixon's Mobile Homes on March 1 after witnesses reported a shooting, a news release from the Bryant Police Department states. Officers arrived to find George Hinson, 37, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his upper leg.
The shooting stemmed from an argument between Hinson and Andrew Aguilar, 34, after Hinson kicked in the door to his girlfriend's home, concerned for her safety, according to the release. Witnesses said the two men fought on the porch, and they heard a gunshot. Hinson fell to the ground and Aguilar fled the scene.
Hinson was taken to Baptist Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
An arrest warrant was issued for Aguilar on Tuesday and he was taken into custody at his Alexander home. He is charged with first-degree battery and carrying a prohibited weapon. He is currently awaiting trial in the Saline County jail.

And if he is illegal, which is highly likely, he should be deported.
