Jazz singer Stacy Sullivan pays a “A Tribute to Miss Peggy Lee” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Riceland Hall, Arkansas State University’s Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive, Jonesboro. ‘Bishop of Jazz’

Rio Clemente, billed as “The Bishop of Jazz,” will perform on a 7-foot Steinway grand piano at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Pine Bluff Country Club, 1100 Country Club Lane, Pine Bluff. It’s part of the Old Town Theatres Centre’s monthly dinner-theater series, geared for adults and older teenagers. Dinner starts at 6. Tickets are $45, including gratuity. Children’s concert

The Conway Symphony will put on a children’s concert titled “Enchanted Tales” at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall, University of Central Arkansas, 201 Donaghey Ave., Conway. The orchestra will perform Maurice Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite, with onstage help from UCA theater students and professor Chris Fritzges, and Carmen Fantasy for Flute and Orchestra by Francois Borne, with UCA Concerto winner Simona Donova as soloist. Israel Getzov conducts. Children can participate in a post-concert crafts session organized by the orchestra guild, with refreshments and a chance to “meet the instruments” in the lobby. Famous melodies

The North Little Rock Community Concert Band will open its 2013 season at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Patrick Henry Hays Center, 401 W. Pershing St., North Little Rock, with a program that Music Director Rico Belotti calls “Famous Melodies (and a couple that aren’t).” It will include a pair of John Philip Sousa marches; “Parade of the Charioteers” from Miklos Roza’s score for Ben Hur; Franz Von Suppe’s Light Cavalry Overture; the “March” from Gustav Holst’s Suite No. 1 in E-flat major; Brighton Camp, three Civil War-era folk melodies molded into a regimental march by Little Rock native Randall D. Piano festival finale

Pianist Roger McVey, associate professor of piano at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, will give a recital at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall, Fine Arts Building, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, 2801 S. University Ave., Little Rock, the closing event of the UALR Piano and Strings Festival. ‘Hidden’ photos

“Hidden Arkansas,” an exhibition of 50 photos by 11 Arkansas photographers working from the theme, “What in Arkansas is hidden to you?,” opens with a reception, 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Historic Arkansas Museum, 200 E. Third St., Little Rock.The photographers, members of the Blue-Eyed Knocker Photo Club who have been working on the project since 2008, will be present; Peg Roach Loyd will perform. Zombie cinecast Zombies are invading area movie theaters. Theatrical tinkering

Tinkerers from around the state will convene, 1-4 p.m. Saturday at the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 Main St., Pine Bluff, for Tinkerfest 2013. Participants can learn theatrical production prop, costume and makeup-making techniques, including restoring and re-appropriating old clothes; fantasy mask-making on a budget using household items; using latex and crepe hair to build wigs and facial hair; and how to make automatons, shadow puppets, robot hands, dolls and sugru, a hand-formed, self-setting rubber. The Pitch, Hit & Run baseball competition originally scheduled for March 2 has been rescheduled for noon March 16 in Jacksonville’s Dupree Park. Children ages 7-14 are invited to show off their skills at this Major League Baseball event. Registration is free, but participants are required to provide a copy of their birth certificate.
