Cabot woman killed in vehicle accident

One woman is dead after a two-vehicle accident Saturday morning on U.S. 67/167, south of Cabot.

Kayla Bowman, 30 of Cabot, was northbound in a 2005 Ford Escape around 4:35 a.m. when her vehicle hit a cement truck, traveling in the same direction. Arkansas State Police say Bowman's vehicle then went under the rear bumper of the truck. Police say Bowman was pronounced dead around 5:53 a.m. The police report states weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the accident.

According to preliminary figures, Bowman's death was the 72nd in a traffic accident on Arkansas roads this year.
