It seems Irish pubs have grown in popularity. In central Arkansas alone, three have sprung up like shamrocks since 2007 — Cregeen’s Irish Pub in North Little Rock, Dugan’s Pub in downtown Little Rock and Hibernia Irish Tavern in west Little Rock. Meanwhile, in Northwest Arkansas, Kelts Pub in Altus has endured 18 years.
Anyone can slap a Guinness sign on their business and dub it a pub. But what constitutes an authentic one? Is it the atmosphere, the beverages, the food?
