A driver was arrested on a drug charge after leading a North Little Rock police officer on a chase late Monday night, authorities said.
Police say an officer first tried to stop 25-year-old Johnathen Nathan shortly before midnight in the 4100 block of East Broadway Street because one of his headlights was out.
According to an arrest report, Nathan refused to stop, continuing east on Broadway, passing a semi truck over the double-yellow line and then running a stoplight at Lynch Drive.
Nathan then turned south on Turner Street, where his car hit a stop sign, before he pulled over on Parkdale Street, the report said. There, Nathan got out and ran. He was arrested after a short foot pursuit.
Police say a search of the car revealed a marijuana cigarette. Nathan was also wanted on warrants out of Little Rock, the report said, although no information on those cases was immediately known.
Nathan was booked into the Pulaski County jail on charges of fleeing and possession of marijuana.
