Authorities say a toddler suffered critical injuries in a hit-and-run outside a Sherwood apartment complex.
Sherwood Police Department spokesman Officer Richard Harper said the 3-year-old was struck shortly before 7 p.m. Monday outside Park Crest Apartments on Manson Road.
The child was taken to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, where he was listed in critical condition Monday night, Harper said. A condition update wasn't immediately available Tuesday.
The vehicle that hit the child fled the scene before officers arrived. It is described as a red sport utility vehicle or pickup.
No arrests have been made.
Harper said the apartment complex has large speed bumps through its parking lot and that children are frequently in the area.
Police are asking anyone with information to call investigators at (501) 835-1425.

Yes, I tend to agree. Although, that does not absolve the driver from being required to stop.

NoUserName....obviously NOT. If they find that person they should send them to prison on hit and run!

The article doesn't say, but the parents could have been right beside the kid and they darted in front of the vehicle anyway, we just don't know...
