Fiery I-530 crash in Hensley kills one

HENSLEY — A Sheridan man is dead following a fiery crash Friday morning on I-530, south of Little Rock.
Brian Smith, 22, was south on I-530 when his vehicle left the interstate and struck a bridge at the Hensley overpass, causing the vehicle to catch fire, according to the Arkansas State Police.
The police report states Smith was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was taken to the State Crime Laboratory.
According to preliminary figures, Smith's death was the 85th on Arkansas roads this year.
