A man was shot twice in the leg Friday, Little Rock police said.
About 6:30 p.m., Little Rock officers were called to 11525 Cantrell Road at the Pleasant Ridge Town Center, where they found the injured man between the AT&T store branch and Belk, police said.
The man had called his mother, who normally works at Belk but was not working at the time, and told her to send someone out to help because he'd been shot, police said.
Officers cordoned off the area and searched the man's car for evidence.
The man, who police did not identify, was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock, where he was admitted Friday evening with non life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police did not know if the man was shot at that location, and said the gunshot victim was not cooperating.
Further information was not immediately available Friday.
