LITTLE ROCK — Irish dancers, bagpipe players, music and the color green filled the streets of downtown Little Rock on Saturday as thousands gathered to celebrate the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Parade dwellers witnessed everything from antique cars and horses to Storm Troopers as they celebrated the popular Irish holiday, which is officially celebrated on March 17.

The parade, organized by the Irish Cultural Society of Arkansas, began at Third and Rock streets in downtown, twisting and turning through the River Market before ending in the Argenta District of North Little Rock.

The 2013 Little Rock to North Little Rock St. Patrick’s Day Parade was the 14th parade, according to the society's website.
