A Little Rock woman was killed early Saturday in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 630 near downtown, Arkansas State Police said.
Sholonda Perry, 34, died Saturday from injuries suffered in a crash at 4:25 a.m. near the Woodrow Street exit on I-630, according to a preliminary fatal-crash summary.
The report states that Perry was traveling east at a “high rate of speed” before she lost control of the vehicle, slammed into a guardrail “head-on” and was thrown from the vehicle. The accident is reported to have occurred about a mile from Perry’s home on Rice Street.
Police reported Perry as Arkansas’ 87th roadway fatality of 2013.
