I-40 westbound restriction set for Wednesday morning

By ArkansasOnline

This article was published March 19, 2013 at 4:52 p.m.

Both westbound lanes of Interstate 40 in Prairie County near Biscoe will be closed for part of Wednesday morning due to a wreck cleanup, the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department said Tuesday.

The lane closures, which will be between mile markers 203 and 202, comes as a result of a Tuesday morning wreck involving an overturned tractor-trailer that spilled grain onto the road, officials said in a news release. While the grain has been removed from the road, cleanup along the shoulder and nearby slope is still required.

The closures will take place between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. Motorists will be detoured at exit 202 to U.S. 70 until they can access I-40 at Brinkley, the release states.
