CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. — Police in a California desert city near Palm Springs say a homeless married couple who were originally from Arkansas has been found dead in a trash receptacle.
Cathedral City police said in a statement Monday that 52-year-old Diana James and 53-year-old Roger James appear to be victims of homicide, but the Riverside County coroner has yet to determine a cause of death. Police did not say what evidence suggested homicide.
Police say a person not involved in the deaths found Diana James in the trash bin between a car wash and a UPS outlet Sunday, and police later found Roger James in the same place.
The couple lived in the area sporadically for five years, and was well known at the surrounding businesses.
They are originally from Arkansas, where most of their relatives still reside.

OK, MR OBAMA, when are you going to do something about the homeless
and jobless living in cardboard boxes in this nation? You've tried to fix everything else?
Oh, that's right, you spent a few hundred thousand to play a round of golf in Florida...,
with your old friend Tiger, so you didn't really have time to fix anything last week.
