A Pulaski County jail inmate was found dead Sunday afternoon in the infirmary, the Pulaski County sheriff's office said Tuesday
The body of Erik Canada, 34, has been taken to the State Medical Examiner's office by coroner's officials as part of the investigation into his death, according to a statement by sheriff's office spokesman Lt. Carl Minden.
Canada, who lived in Roland, had been arrested Wednesday over violating the terms of his supervision.
He was found unresponsive about 5:35 p.m. Sunday during a suicide-watch check, according to a deputy's report.
