Gunshots were fired near the University of Arkansas at Little Rock campus Tuesday afternoon.
UALR spokesman Angela Parker said the shots were fired about 3:05 p.m. on University Avenue, but not on campus property. The bullets struck Ross Hall, located on the west side of the campus, and shattered a window on the third floor, Parker said.
Little Rock Police Department spokesman Sgt. Cassandra Davis said initial reports described an exchange of gunfire between a gray Chevrolet Impala traveling north on University Avenue and a silver Chevrolet Impala traveling south. No suspects were in custody as of 5:30 p.m.
There were no injuries reported, and the campus was not in any imminent danger, Parker said. UALR is currently on spring break.
