Sally's Beauty Supply in Bryant robbed

An armed robber held up Sally's Beauty Supply in Bryant early Monday shortly after the store opened, the Bryant Police Department said Tuesday.

Shortly after the Sally's opened at 9 a.m., a robber entered the store and rushed around the counter, police said. He put what was believed to be a small handgun to the back of a worker's neck and forced her to the ground, according to authorities.

The robber demanded the worker open the cash register and give him all her money, police said. He then forced the worker to the back of the store and told her to start counting.

Police said the worker described the robber as a tall and muscular light-skinned black male in his late 20s to early 30s, wearing dark pants and shoes, and an unzipped gray hooded sweatshirt over his head.

Those with information are asked to call Bryant police at (501) 943-0943.
