This article was published March 19, 2013 at 9:36 a.m.

Leslie Dach, Wal-Mart's executive vice president of corporate affairs, will speak Tuesday in Little Rock on social and corporate responsibility.

His talk will take the form of a conversation with University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service Dean Skip Rutherford.

Dach, 58, joined Bentonville-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in August 2006 as executive vice president of corporate affairs as Wal-Mart faced attacks about how it treats its workers and accusations it hadn’t taken enough responsibility for its affect on the environment. Dach, who is leaving the company in June, launched a number of sweeping initiatives during his tenure, including working with suppliers to reduce packaging to making the retailer's food more healthful.

Dach will speak at noon at the Clinton School's Sturgis Hall. Attendees are invited to take along lunches; drinks will be provided.

Seats may be reserved by e-mailing publicprograms@clintonschool.uasys.edu or by calling (501) 683-5239.
