A Baxter County man was sentenced to 115 months in federal prison Wednesday for knowingly receiving child pornography.
Troy Rowlette, 46, of Lake View, will also receive five years supervised release after he leaves prison, a news release from the United States Attorney's Office states. Rowlette was the subject of an investigation in March 2012, when law enforcement seized a laptop and several other digital-storage devices from his home.
A forensic investigation concluded Rowlette was in possession of several pornographic images and videos involving minors, some involving images of children as young as 3 years. The investigation concluded he had over 2,000 still images and 190 videos of child porn.
The investigation was conducted in conjunction with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
In an interview with the Baxter County sheriff's office, Rowlette admitted to downloading the material and was charged with receipt and possession of child pornography. Rowlette pleaded guilty Nov. 19 in federal court in Fort Smith.
