Little Rock police are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting at Eagle Talon Cove in the Woodlands Edge neighborhood of west Little Rock on Thursday afternoon.
About 2 p.m., police were on burglary detail in the area when they came in contact with an unidentified person. The person, whom police would not describe, opened fire on an officer who then returned fire, according to Little Rock Police Department spokesman Dewana Phillips.
No one was injured, and the shooter fled on foot. Little Rock police are continuing to search for the gunman, and Arkansas State Police has a helicopter assisting in the search as well.
