Ex-Oklahoma teacher pleads guilty in child porn case

SHAWNEE, Okla. — A former McLoud school teacher who pleaded no contest in January to child pornography and exploitation charges has changed her plea to guilty in exchange for a 45 year prison term.

Kimberly Crain changed her plea during a sentencing hearing Friday in Pottawatomie County District Court in which she faced a sentence of up to life in prison.

Prosecutors say Crain took photos of young girls in her third-grade classroom and her home — including photos of some girls naked — and sent them to former early childhood development professor Gary Doby in Bloomsburg, Pa.

Members of the girls' families who were present in the courtroom said they agreed with the plea deal.

Doby pleaded guilty to child exploitation charges in January and was sentenced to life in prison.
