Officials say roadways are clear in northern Arkansas after a storm dropped several inches of snow in parts of that region.
By 11 a.m., an online Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department map showed no slick conditions on any highways across the state. Earlier, slush and ice were present in much of the northern two rows of counties, though forecasters said it was expected to melt as temperatures warmed during the day.
Snow totals around the area ranged from 7.5 inches in Salem in Fulton County to 6 inches in Melbourne in Izard County to 1 inch in Mountain View, according to National Weather Service reports.
Rain later diminished the accumulation in some areas.
