Alabama’s Steele has ankle surgery

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama guard Andrew Steele had surgery on his right ankle. Crimson Tide Coach Anthony Grant says Steele had a two-hour operation Wednesday to fix several issues, including a stress fracture. The Tide plays Stanford on Saturday in the second round of the NIT.
