MALVERN - Mary Jane Henson and Orville Henson will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul United Methodist Church. The couple were married April 4, 1953. She is the former Mary Jane Shipwash. He is retired from Willamette Industries as a shipping clerk. They are the parents of Sherry Murphy of Perryville; Gary Henson of Johnson City, Tenn.; Terry Henson of Malvern; Larry Henson of Dover; and Deidre Connell of Austin. The couple have eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
BIGELOW - Jill and Ron McConnell will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. April 7 with a meet and greet celebration at Burns Park. The couple were married March 31, 1963. She is the former Jill Gunn and he is self-employed. They are the parents of Patti Childers of North Little Rock, Carol Bray of Bigelow and Rhonda McConnell of Conway. The couple have three grandchildren.
BENTON - Reba and Charles (Bud) Stoddard have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner. The couple were married March 30, 1963. She is the former Reba Highfill. Both are retired owners and operators of Hillcrest Cleaners. They are the parents of Greg Stoddard of Wye Mountain.
PARAGOULD - Pearline and Bill Wood will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with family. The couple were married April 4, 1953. She is the former Pearline Walker and a retired hair salon owner. He is a retired parts manager for Case International Harvester. They are the parents of Sherry Keck of Little Rock and David Wood of Paragould. The couple have six grandchildren.
Mary Lou and Col. William A. Martin of North Little Rock will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married March 31, 1963. She is the former Mary Lou Mauderly and a retired legal secretary for the Friday, Eldredge and Clark law firm. He is a lawyer retired from the Air Force and as executive director of the Arkansas Bar Association. They are the parents of Kathy Gutierrez of Garland, Texas; Karen Caster of North Little Rock; and Michael Martin of Bend, Ore. The couple have five grandchildren.
GLENWOOD - Edith and Leo Small have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. The couple were married March 29, 1957. She is the former Edith Horn and a retired teacher from Kirby Public Schools. He is retired from the U.S. Soil Conservation Service. They are the parents of Mark Small of Glenwood and Jeff Small of Atkins. The couple have two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
