Roof collapses at church in western Arkansas

OZARK — Six people were injured when a roof collapsed on a building under construction at a church in the small unincorporated community of Jethro in western Arkansas.

Franklin County Emergency Management Coordinator Fred Mullen says the roof collapsed Wednesday night as workers were installing trusses at Jethro Pentecostal Church. Mullen says two of the injured were flown and one was taken by ambulance to a Fort Smith hospital. Mullen says another person was taken to a local hospital and two people were treated and released at the scene.

The conditions and names of the injured were not released.

A message left at a phone number listed for the church was not immediately returned.

The church is about 10 miles north of Ozark and about 130 miles northwest of Little Rock
