Large party nets arrest in Cabot

One woman was arrested Thursday night after authorities got a call about a large party in Lonoke County.

Deputies with the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office arrived at a residence on Rye Road in Cabot at 7 p.m. May 9 after receiving a complaint of loud music and underage drinking, according to an LCSO release. At the scene, deputies observed around 40 juveniles between the ages of 17 and 19 drinking alcoholic beverages, with authorities seizing the alcohol and an estimated 40 citations being issued.

Also at the scene, authorities came into contact with resident Martha Dubois, 74, who became confrontational with deputies and at one point attempted to pour out a large bottle of an alcoholic beverage.

Dubois was arrested on charges of contributing to the delinquency of minors and violation of the host law.
