RUSSELLVILLE — The Dardanelle Boys & Girls Club will host an all-you-can-eat pancake-breakfast fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Stoby’s Restaurant. Tickets are $5. All proceeds will go to purchase a storm shelter for the club. Diabetes Care Group
CONWAY — The Conway Regional Diabetes Care Group will meet from 7-8 p.m. in the Women’s Center Classroom on the medical center campus. Janelle Williamson, a dietitian and diabetes educator, will give a cooking demonstration titled Quick, Delicious, Go-to Dinners. Williamson works in the Conway Regional Diabetes Self-Management Program. The meeting is free and open to the public. The Diabetes Care Group meets the last Tuesday of each month. Sacred Heart School Bazaar
MORRILTON — Sacred Heart School will host a bazaar from 6-11 p.m. Friday and from 5 p.m. to midnight Saturday in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church parking lot, 506 E. Broadway. There will be food; games; a silent auction; and a Kiddie Land, featuring a petting zoo, a basketball shoot, a bounce house, a dunking booth and more. An all-you-can-eat dinner will be served from 5-8:30 p.m. Saturday only. Boxed dinners will be delivered from 4-6:30 p.m. The dinner costs $13 for adults and $6 for children ages 4-12. Children 3 and younger may eat free. Drawings will be held at midnight Saturday for a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport 4x4, a Carnival cruise, a $1,000 gift certificate for furniture, a 47-inch 3D Edge LED/HD TV, jewelry and a trip to Las Vegas. Lockup for Life
WILBURN — The Wilburn Friends and Family Relay for Life Team will host a Lockup for Life from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wilburn Fire Station. Some special folks have agreed to be “arrested,” and they must raise a bond of $100 each in order to get out of jail. Each “inmate” will ask 10 friends to donate $10 each. AARP Driving Program
RUSSELLVILLE — An AARP Safe Driving Program will be held at 9 a.m. June 4 at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center Annex. Course graduates 55 and older may be eligible for a discount on their car insurance premiums. The cost for the course is $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers. Clinton Music Festival
CLINTON — The Clinton Music Festival will be held from 1-10 p.m. June 8 at the fairgrounds in Clinton. There is no cost for admission. The event will feature gospel music from 1-5 p.m. and bluegrass and country music from 6-10 p.m. There will be concessions, raffles and bounce houses for kids. The event is a fundraiser for the Van Buren County Literacy Council.
CONWAY — The Faulkner County Library will host Backyard Gourmet from 5-8 p.m. June 8, a community potluck to celebrate local food and sustainable-living ideas. Patrons are asked to bring their own utensils. Oak Street Bistro and ZaZa’s will offer samples of food, Fire & Brimstone and Handmade Moments will provide entertainment, and a contra dance will be held. Copies of Backyard Gourmet, a community cookbook, will be available for $15. There will also be a presentation about the soon-to-be-established seed library.
