FAYETTEVILLE Arkansas' men and women won the Southeastern Conference Cross Country Championship Friday in Gainesville, Fla.
The Razorbacks came in 1-2-3 in both races. Arkansas senior Kemoy Campbell won the men's 8K race with a meet record time of 22 minutes, 58.73 seconds.
Campbell finished nearly 42 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Stanley Kebenei. Senior Solomon Haile placed third for the Razorbacks.
Sophomore Dominique Scott won the women's 6K race with a time of 20 minutes, 2.81 seconds. Scott was followed by teammates Shannon Klenke and Grace Heymsfield.
For the men, Friday's title was their fourth straight at the conference level and 38th in 40 years. In cross country, indoor and outdoor track & field, Arkansas has won eight consecutive conference titles dating to the 2011 outdoor season.
The conference championship was the Razorbacks' women's second this calendar year, having also won the SEC Indoor meet in February. It was Arkansas' 14th SEC cross country championship and first since 2008.
The Razorbacks' women have won 15 cross country championships overall.
Up next for both teams is the NCAA South Central Regional in Waco, Texas on Nov. 15. The NCAA Championship will be held Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Ind.
