The affidavit said Wixson was chairman of the firing range and responsible for thecare of 10 pistols. State police said Wixson told investigators that he pawned six of the 10 guns that were given to him by the association.

Tuckerman Police Chief Jonathan Tubbs said Wixson worked in his department for 18 months until mid-October, when he resigned. Wixson was on medical leave for four months before his resignation, Tubbs said.

No listed phone number for Wixson could be located.
