Lawyer: Transfers legal in Barber case

FORT SMITH — Federal prosecutors told jurors Monday that Fayetteville attorney K. Vaughn Knight was an active participant in a scheme to hide former Northwest Arkansas developer Brandon Barber’s money from creditors and the bankruptcy court, but Knight’s attorney said Barber threw his client “under the bus” to get a better plea deal with the government.
