Teen robbed of jacket, shoes at gunpoint

A teen from Little Rock was robbed at gunpoint of his jacket and shoes late Monday night by a man who had offered him a ride, authorities said.

It happened about 11:30 p.m. after the 19-year-old victim accepted a ride from a man he didn't know at Otter Creek and Stagecoach roads, according to a Little Rock police report.

Little Rock police say the man pulled a gun on the victim when he got into the man's pickup and then ordered the victim to remove his jacket and shoes and throw them in the cab. He also took the victim's cash and cell phone, the report states.

The robber then drove to 10501 Stagecoach Road, where he punched the victim in the face and dropped him off, according to the report. The victim was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center for treatment of a bruise under his left eye, police said.

The robber is described as a white man who wore a green and tan shirt. The pickup was a red Toyota Tundra between the model years 2000 and 2008, the report states.

No arrests have been made.
