Wal-Mart blames price errors on technical glitch

By The Associated Press

This article was published November 6, 2013 at 1:05 p.m.

NEW YORK — Treadmills for $33? Computer monitors for $9? The deals are too good to be true — even at Wal-Mart.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said a "technical error" caused certain products to be priced absurdly low or high on its website earlier Wednesday morning.

The company said it's working to resolve the issue and that the site may have intermittent problems with availability until then.

"We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers," said Ravi Jariwala, a spokesman for Wal-Mart's online operations.

Earlier Wednesday, shoppers took to Twitter to cite ridiculously low prices like treadmills for $33.16 and Hewlett Packard LCD monitors for $8.85. Jariwala declined to comment on whether it would honor bargains that customers scooped up and said it was still working through the details.

I don't see how they can't legally honor the prices. Of course Walmart does what they want to.

A bit of people/business/political irony, isn’t it? Even with billions spent on the highest technology available, Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer, has frequent technical glitches plus an occasional debacle—as does every other business on Planet Earth—yet we expect well-oiled perfection from the humongous Obamacare and all other high-tech government functions. Doesn’t make a lot of sense, does it?

What doesn't make sense, Fdworfe, is placing life and death reliance on systems that even fail multi-billion dollar high tech retailers like WalMart. That never shudda happened. Roll back Obamacare now.

See how easy that was?

Obamacare will go down as one of the biggest blunders in history, but at least the Obama's friends and cronies are making millions off of it.
