Warrant issued for boyfriend in Natzke murder

Authorities in Garland County have issued an arrest warrant for the boyfriend of a slain Hot Springs Village police dispatcher who was murdered nearly two years ago.

A spokesman with the office of Garland County Prosecutor Steve Oliver confirmed that a warrant was issued Monday for the arrest of Kevin Duck, 30, for the first-degree murder of 46-year-old Dawna Natzke of Hot Springs Village.

Natzke was last seen around 11 p.m. Dec. 21, 2011 leaving a Christmas party with Duck, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette has previously reported. She was reported missing two days later after she didn’t show up for work, and her body was found 10 days later, five miles from her home near her car, which had been burned.

A news release from the Garland County sheriff's office stated that investigators are working to bring Duck into custody. Bond has been set for $250,000.

Duck told authorities that he and Natzke returned to her home after the party in Hot Springs Village and she was gone when he woke up.

The body was confirmed to be Natzke's on Jan. 3, 2012.
