Man held in Starbucks, Applebee's robberies

A North Little Rock man has been arrested in the armed robberies of a Starbucks coffee shop and an Applebee's restaurant earlier this month.

Records show Dedrick Bernard Williams, 27, was booked into the Pulaski County jail early Tuesday morning on five counts of aggravated robbery and two counts of theft of property.

A Little Rock police arrest report says Williams gave a taped statement admitting to the holdups at the two Little Rock chains: the Starbucks at 5719 Kavanaugh Blvd. and the Applebee's at No. 6 Mabelvale Plaza Lane.

In each of the Nov. 17 holdups, the robber displayed a pistol and got away with cash from the registers and safes as well as employee's phones, police said.

Williams remained in the Pulaski County jail Tuesday morning with bail not yet set.
