More than two dozen mobile food vendors will be vending street eats, from fair food to goulash, at the third Main Street Food Truck Festival, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday on and around four blocks of Main Street, which will be blocked off from Third to Seventh streets. The festival will also feature local musicians, a Heifer International Children’s Plaza, street performances and three beer gardens. There will be a raffle for a special “A Year of Fun in Downtown Little Rock” basket with tickets, VIP tours, museum memberships and even a prime downtown parking space for a year. Admission is free but, of course, you pay for your food - this year you pay the vendors directly instead of using scrip; Centennial Bank will be operating a mobile bank at Capitol Avenue and Main Street. BettySoo headlines “DennyWest,” an outdoor Americana acoustic music festival, Saturday at Wildwood Park for the Arts, 20919 Denny Road, Little Rock. Ballet Arkansas’ professional company opens its 2013-14 season with a program titled “Spring Into Motion,” 7 p.m. today, not in Little Rock, but in the Fine Arts Center at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, under the banner of SEARK Concerts and sponsored by Union Bank & Trust Co. The program will include classic ballet, including “Black Swan pas de deux Mobile,” choreographed by Tomm Ruud, and portions of Don Quixote; and contemporary works choreographed by Peter Zweifel, Stephanie Thibeault, Leslie Schickel and Darrell Grand Moultrie.
