Little Rock police took reports of 38 burglaries in which more than $56,000 in property and cash was taken as well as 14 separate robberies in a week's time.
The Little Rock Police Department investigated 36 residential burglaries and two commercial burglaries reported from Sept. 27 through Thursday, according to preliminary data released daily by the agency. There were 60 residential burglaries and six commercial burglaries in the same span a week earlier.

Not all of the break-ins included information about how much property and cash was taken. But those that did totaled $56,321 worth of stolen items and money.
The highest concentration of burglaries was in the 72209 zip code, where seven of the 36 were reported in the week. Six each were reported in the 72204 and 72205 zip codes.
Of the 14 robberies reported in the week, four were in the 72204 zip code and three were in the 72209 zip code.
