One man was killed and four others were injured from a car wreck early Sunday morning in White County, authorities said.
The accident occurred at about 4:08 a.m. in wet and clear conditions, according to an initial Arkansas State Police report.
Police say Misael Castaneda, 26, of Kensett, was traveling north in a 2005 Chevy Tahoe on Arkansas 67 when the vehicle ran off the road, struck a guardrail and overturned an unspecified number of times.
Castaneda and passenger Francisco Dominguez, 24, of Kensett, were thrown out from the vehicle and Dominguez was pronounced dead at the scene, the report states.
Three other passengers — Little Rock resident Blanca Martinez, 32; Kensett resident Daniel Castaneda, 22; and Searcy resident Efrain Jimenez, 24 — were taken to White County Medical Center to be treated for unspecified injuries.
Dominguez's death marks the 350th fatality in traffic accidents on Arkansas roads this year, according to preliminary reports.
