Food: Pear-fect for fall

Sweet, crunchy pears in blushing hues of green, yellow and red are often overlooked in favor of autumn’s darling, the apple, writes Kelly Brant.

But with a little advance planning crisp, juicy pears can be a flavorful addition to a variety of fall recipes from salads and vegetable dishes to cake and bread pudding.
