A Little Rock man's body was found inside a vehicle Tuesday night in Little Rock after a call of shots fired in the area, authorities said.
Charles Pruitt, 68, died after suffering an apparent gunshot wound to his right side, police said.
Little Rock Police Department Sgt. Cassandra Davis said in an email that neighbors on Harrison Street between 14th and 16th streets heard about five shots shortly before 9:30 p.m.
Officers went to the area and found Pruitt's body inside his 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix, which was parked in the middle of the street, according to a police report. The car had a bullet hole in the back passenger-side window.
Davis said the motive remains under investigation and police haven't identified a suspect in the homicide.
