Resurfacing of I-30 means lane closures in Little Rock

Several lanes will be closed overnight this week on Interstate 30 as crews work to resurface a section of the road.

Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department workers will be making the improvements to a stretch of the I-30 westbound between the 65th Street exit and just west of the Geyer Springs Road exit, according to a news release from the department.

The work will mean closing one or two westbound lanes periodically between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. beginning Wednesday and ending Saturday, weather permitting, the release stated. Cones and traffic signs will alert drivers when they are approaching the road work.

Motorists are asked to be cautious when driving through the work zone.
